The Cultural History of Domesticated Animals - Humans have manipulated and changed the ways of life of other animals for thousand of years. This course explores the process of animal domestication and its spread, both biologically and culturally across the world.

Food and Culture - The course provides a world-wide survey of the eating and drinking habits of people in antiquity. It provides the world history of food from prehistoric times to the present and demonstrates the way in which food as influenced human development. The course explores the general topic of food and culture in different angles that range from the origins of meat eating in human evolution and the emergence of agriculture and farming communities to the origins of fast food nations.
