Hisham Abu-Rayya, PhD, is Senior Lecturer of social-cultural psychology at the School of Social Work, University of Haifa, obtained his PhD from Cambridge University, UK, in 2005. Prior to his employment at the University of Haifa he worked at the School of Psychology at The University of Sydney and at La Trobe University, Australia. Abu-Rayya’s main research interests fall within cross-cultural transitions/acculturation and psychological adjustment; prejudice and inter-group dynamics; psychology of religion/religiosity, personality, and mental health; mixed-ethnic/cultural/faith marriages and psychological adjustment; and statistical applications in psychological and health sciences.
